Following the sad closure of Brilley School, the village - headed by the Village Hall committee and with the help of the Parish Council - have been given the chance by Herefordshire Council to buy the old school field. This will become a village green for everybody’s enjoyment, now and for future generations. It will be our only outdoor community space.
It was a once in a lifetime opportunity, not be missed, but £30,000 needs to be raised.
A fundraising group was set up at the open public meeting (held on the 25th September) and we have a host of exciting events planned for this year.
To launch the appeal we held a very successfull promises auction.
Please have a look at the events section for what we are plotting next.
